WHY A HEAT PUMP

Hot water that costs less to run

✓

Lower running costs

A heat pump uses about a third of the electricity of a standard electric tank to heat the same water.

✓

Run it on your solar

Set the timer to heat in the middle of the day, using your own solar instead of grid power.

✓

Get off gas

Replace gas hot water, and once all your gas appliances are gone you can drop the gas supply charge.

✓

Rebates handled for you

Authorised Solar Victoria retailer and accredited VEU provider. We lodge it all.

✓

Old system removed

We remove your old system and install the new heat pump, ready to use.

Hot water questions

Still unsure? Call 03 8528 4655.

Can I combine the rebate, VEU and STCs?

Yes, in Victoria. STCs and the VEU discount come off first, then Solar Victoria pays 50% of what’s left, up to $1,000 (up to $1,400 for eligible locally made products).

Who is eligible for the Solar Victoria rebate?

Owner-occupiers whose combined taxable income is under $150,000, with a home valued under $3 million and an existing system at least 3 years old. The address can’t have had a Solar Homes hot water or battery rebate before.

My hot water just broke. Can I still claim?

Yes. Solar Victoria allows emergency installs before eligibility is confirmed, but you must prove eligibility soon after and may miss out if you don’t qualify.

I’m in NSW. What can I get?

The Solar Victoria rebate and VEU are Victoria only. In NSW you can still get STCs, and you may be eligible for a discount under the NSW Energy Savings Scheme.
